It's official now and Mountain Valleys Health Center now owns the building in downtown Bieber which formally belonged to Tri Counties Bank.  A ceremony was held at 10 AM where the keys were given to Mr. David Jones, C.E.O. of Mountain Valleys.

Work can now proceed in converting the old bank office, complete with a large bank vault into administrative offices for the health center.   There will be no health services for patients at the site, but it will free up at least 4 new office spaces at the Big Valley Health Center located near the Red Barn on County Rd. A2 where the present administration is located.  According to David Jones, this move may add as many as 3 or 4 new jobs when the move takes place, as well as expand medical services for the public at the medical center.

The ceremony took place between representatives of Mountain Valleys Health including David Jones, C.E.O., and Dave Bradshaw who is both Vice Chairman of the group and a County Supervisor for Modoc County.  Mr. Bradshaw is very active in the community and is often seen at various public meetings, events and groups throughout Big Valley.

Representatives of  Counties Bank included The Northern Region Manager of the bank as well as managers of the Fall River Mills branch of the bank, Debbie Noel and Karen Gurule.

One benefit of using an old bank building for the main administrative offices is that it comes complete with a "bank quality" safe which is both secure and fire proof so records can be safely kept.  Karen Gurule finalized the ceremony by teaching David Jones how to  properly use the safe.
